With a background in accounting, finance, and operational strategy, JD enjoys helping businesses like yours turn numbers into insight and insight into action.

After working many years in Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis for large corporations like Southwest Airlines, Neiman Marcus, Oldcastle, and Pilgrim's Chicken, JD decided the entrepreneurial spirit was too much and decided it was time to go out on his own. JD left the Fortune 500 world, gained his CPA license, and started doing as many CPAs do and prepared lots of tax returns.

While preparing those tax returns JD realized a couple of things; business owners really need tax planning help throughout the year to avoid April surprises, and most small businesses need more than just tax planning for their business's financial success. JD founded Aspire CFO Solutions to provide accessible, high-impact financial leadership for small and medium businesses on the Western Slope.
