JD didn't start out as an accountant. He spent 10 years at Oldcastle, moving from CAD drawings to estimating and project management while earning his accounting degree part-time.

He went on to hold accounting and financial planning leadership roles at Southwest Airlines, Neiman Marcus, Pilgrim's Pride, and Petco. He also worked as a Revenue Agent with the IRS.

When JD went out on his own, he prepared a lot of tax returns. He saw that owners needed planning before April, and that most small businesses needed more than a tax return to succeed. He founded Aspire CFO Solutions to give Western Slope businesses that help.
